In your hours

Nearshore software development Germany

We are a software studio in Casablanca that works as a nearshore team for German companies. We share Berlin’s clock in winter and sit one hour behind in summer, so stand-ups, reviews and releases happen in the same working day. We work in English.

What a nearshore team means in practice

Nearshore software development Germany teams can use from Casablanca means developers who work your hours: stand-ups, reviews and releases fall in the same working day. We share Berlin’s clock in winter, sit one hour behind in summer, and hand over the code, the documentation and the data agreements you need.

We are a studio, not a staffing agency. You agree a result or a monthly scope with us, and we are accountable for it. There is no German office. Our working language is English, and the German-language parts of a product should be written or reviewed by a native speaker.

We build on Next.js, React and Laravel, as described on our custom web development page. For one concrete case, read how we build ERP software for German businesses. The wider rules sit on the Germany hub.

Time zones

Where the clocks sit compared with Berlin

Counted for a 09:00 to 17:00 day on both sides. Time zone is one factor. Skills, language, price and references matter as much, so choose the team and not only the map.

How we engage

Fixed scope or a monthly team

Before work starts

What a German client asks for, and what we agree

Written down in the first week, so nobody guesses later.

  • A data-processing agreement (AVV) with a list of technical and organisational measures
  • The Standard Contractual Clauses, because Casablanca is outside the EU
  • A confidentiality agreement and a clause that the code is yours at handover
  • Named accounts on your systems, with two-factor sign-in where your tools support it
  • The hosting region, and a list of the providers that touch your data
  • A shared holiday calendar, covering German state holidays and Moroccan ones

Calendars and language

Holidays, Ramadan and working language

German public holidays differ from state to state, and Moroccan religious holidays follow the Islamic calendar, so they move about eleven days earlier each year. We share a holiday calendar at kickoff and plan releases around both.

During Ramadan Casablanca moves to UTC+0 for a month, which puts Germany one hour ahead of us. We agree the shared hours for that month in advance. Our working language is English, in meetings, tickets and documentation.

How an engagement starts

From first call to a team in your hours

A small first scope proves the way of working before the budget grows.

01

Intro call

We talk through your product, your team and the hours you need covered.

02

Rules and access

We agree the AVV, the Standard Contractual Clauses and who gets access to what.

03

Quote and start in 3–5 days

Itemised deliverables, a timeline and payments tied to milestones.

04

A small first scope

We ship it, you review it, and we agree the rhythm: written updates and calls in the shared hours.

05

Grow or hand over

Add scope, move to a monthly retainer, or take the code and continue in-house.

FAQ

Nearshore questions from German buyers

What companies in Germany ask before they work with a remote team.

1

Is Morocco nearshore for Germany?

For working hours, yes: Casablanca is 0 to 1 hour from German time. For travel, it is a flight of a few hours, and for most projects video calls and written updates do the work.

2

Are you a studio or a staffing agency?

A studio. We agree a result or a monthly scope with you and answer for it. We do not place individual developers inside your organisation.

3

Can you work in our repository and issue tracker?

Yes. We can work in your repository and your tracker, or in ours. Either way, the code sits in your repository at handover, together with the documentation and a walkthrough.

4

Will you sign an AVV and the Standard Contractual Clauses?

Yes. We expect both before we touch personal data, and we build with test data wherever we can. Send your own template if your legal team has one.

5

Do you have German-speaking developers?

Our working language is English. We can build German interfaces and documents, and a native speaker should write and review the wording.

6

How does nearshore differ from offshore?

Mostly in working hours. Nearshore teams overlap with your day by 7 or 8 hours, so questions are answered the same day. A team in India, for example, shares 3.5 to 4.5 hours with Germany.
