Rules in the code
What South African software has to handle
VAT and invoices. VAT is 15 %. A tax invoice carries the supplier’s VAT number when the supplier is VAT-registered, and your reports must match what you declare to the South African Revenue Service (SARS). We build the rate, the rounding and the reports with your accountant, and test them on real examples before launch.
Accounting packages. Many South African businesses already use Sage or Xero. A link between your software and those tools is custom work. We read the package’s API documentation first, then quote.
POPIA. We build access roles, audit logs, retention rules and deletion into the system, and agree the hosting region before any customer data is stored. POPIA expects a written agreement with anyone who processes data for you, so we agree one with you in writing. Your lawyer should confirm the details.
Payments and power. We connect gateways such as PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments or Ozow as part of the build. Hosted software stays up when your office loses power. A till that must keep selling offline is scoped as a separate item.

Yes. We audit first, then stabilise or replace slow or unsupported systems in stages.

Accounting packages with an API, yes, as custom work after we read the documentation. Banks vary, so we check what they offer before we promise anything.

Who owns the code and the data?
You do. At handover you receive the repository, the documentation and a walkthrough, so another developer can continue without us.

Can a Moroccan company handle a South African project?
Distance is the risk, so we plan for it. We are one hour from South Africa’s clock, so calls fit your working day. You also get written updates, a working preview at every step and a fixed quote. If an in-person meeting matters most, a local studio is the better fit.
