What changes when the customer is Australian
Selling online. Prices shown to consumers include 10 % GST, and a tax invoice shows your ABN. We set up GST in the store and test totals with your accountant. Your domain. A .com.au name needs an Australian presence, such as an ABN, so the registration stays in your business’s name.
Privacy, consent and accessibility. The Privacy Act 1988 covers the personal data a contact form collects, for most businesses turning over more than A$3 million a year. The Spam Act 2003 requires consent and an unsubscribe link in marketing email. The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 covers websites, so we write an accessibility target, usually WCAG 2.2 level AA, into the scope.

Counted for a 09:00 to 18:00 day in Casablanca and a 09:00 to 17:00 day on your side. Summer means daylight time, from the first Sunday of October to the first Sunday of April. During Ramadan every gap is one hour bigger.

Does my site need to show GST?
If you sell to consumers, prices include 10 % GST, and a GST-registered business issues tax invoices with its ABN. Your accountant confirms whether you must register. We set up the price display and invoice fields.

Where will my data be hosted?
You choose. We can host in an Australian region of a major cloud provider, or hand the site to your own host. We agree the region before any customer data is stored.
