Why a Casablanca studio works for UK businesses
UK businesses can hire a software development company in Casablanca and keep their normal working day. Morocco stays on UTC+1 all year. The UK is on UTC+0 in winter and UTC+1 in summer. That makes us level with you for about seven months and one hour ahead for the other five.
We work remotely, in English. There is no UK office, address, phone number or UK client list, and we do not pretend otherwise. What you get is a fixed quote, a working preview at every step, and all the code and documentation at handover.

How UK hours line up with ours
Counted for a 09:00 to 17:00 UK day and a 09:00 to 18:00 day in Casablanca. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland keep the same time. UK clocks change on the last Sundays of March and October. Morocco’s do not. A 09:30 stand-up in London is 09:30 in Casablanca in summer and 10:30 in winter.

Rules we build around
Tax, privacy and accessibility in the UK
Tax and invoicing. UK VAT has a standard rate of 20 %, a reduced rate of 5 % and a zero rate. VAT-registered businesses keep digital records and file returns through Making Tax Digital for VAT, using software that connects to HMRC. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is being phased in for sole traders and landlords from April 2026.
If your system issues invoices or prepares returns, we scope the VAT logic with your accountant. RIVER ERP, our ready-made ERP, is built Morocco-first, so UK VAT is custom work.
Privacy and email. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 cover personal data, and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) enforces them. PECR covers cookies and marketing email. If our team can see personal data from Morocco, UK GDPR treats that as a transfer abroad. You then need a written processing contract and a safeguard, such as the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement. We write both into the scope, and your adviser should confirm them.
Accessibility. The Equality Act 2010 expects websites to work for disabled people. Public sector sites must meet WCAG level AA.

No. We work remotely from Casablanca, Morocco, in English, and we do not claim a UK address, phone number or client list. We join your calls by video and send written updates in between.

How many working hours do we share?
The whole UK day. UK 09:00 to 17:00 matches Casablanca hours in summer and becomes 10:00 to 18:00 here in winter. Either way you get 8 shared hours.

Can you build software that handles UK VAT and Making Tax Digital?
Yes, as custom work. We agree the rules with you and your accountant, write them into the scope and test them with sample invoices before launch.

Is it safe to give a Moroccan studio access to UK personal data?
It can be, with the right paperwork: a written processing contract and a transfer safeguard under UK GDPR. We agree both before any personal data is shared, and you can keep the data on infrastructure you control.

Which UK payment providers can you connect?
For a store, Stripe, PayPal, Adyen and Klarna are all supported in our RAIN Store build. Other providers, such as GoCardless for Direct Debit, are custom integrations.
