What changes when the customer is American
Accessibility. Lawsuits over inaccessible websites are filed against US businesses every year, under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The law names no technical standard for private sites, so WCAG 2.1 level AA is the usual target. A 2024 Department of Justice rule sets it for state and local government sites.
Privacy. The US has no single privacy law for businesses. California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas and a growing list of other states each have their own. Which one applies depends on where your customers live and how large you are, not where your office is. We build cookie settings and opt-out links around the rules your lawyer confirms.
Selling online. Since the Supreme Court’s 2018 Wayfair decision, a state can ask an out-of-state seller to collect its sales tax once sales there pass a threshold. Email and texts. CAN-SPAM requires a working unsubscribe link and a postal address in marketing email. The TCPA expects clear written consent before marketing texts. Our forms carry that wording.

Counted for a 09:00 to 18:00 day in Casablanca and a 09:00 to 17:00 day on your side. Summer means US daylight time, from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November. During Ramadan each gap is one hour smaller.

Will the site meet ADA requirements?
We build to the target in your quote, usually WCAG 2.1 level AA, and check contrast, keyboard use and form labels before launch. No designer can promise immunity from a claim, so your lawyer should confirm what applies to you.

How do you handle sales tax and payments?
A tax service such as Stripe Tax or Avalara calculates sales tax. Stripe, PayPal, Square or Authorize.Net take payment in their own card fields, so your server never stores card numbers. Your accountant confirms where you must collect tax.

What tax paperwork does a US company need to pay a studio in Morocco?
A foreign supplier normally gives a W-8 form instead of a W-9. Your accountant knows what your payments require, so raise it on the first call.
